Hearing care technology · Amsterdam

We build the platform behind modern hearing care.

Earlab is the company behind Vear (V-ear): virtual ear. One platform with practice software, VR hearing assessment, client and professional apps and a self-service kiosk, for hearing care professionals and chains.

Why we exist

The barrier to hearing care isn't technology. It's the experience.

More than 1.5 billion people live with some degree of hearing loss. Of those who could benefit from a hearing aid, only about one in six uses one.

People wait for years. Tests feel clinical and intimidating, families don't understand what their loved one is missing, and hearing care professionals lose hours to fragmented software instead of spending them with people. Earlab exists to remove those barriers, one practice at a time.

How we work

Three principles.

01

Built from the chair

Earlab was founded by a hearing care professional. Every workflow starts with what happens in the consultation room, not in a spec.

02

Privacy and security by design

Health data deserves the highest care. GDPR is our baseline, and security runs as a programme across the platform, apps, kiosk and VR.

03

Regulation as a foundation

We are setting up our quality system along ISO 13485, with IEC 62304 for software, ISO 14971 for risk management and IEC 62366-1 for usability, in preparation for CE marking under the EU MDR. Certification is our next step.

Progress

Early, and moving fast.

  2. Early 2027

    Launch in the Netherlands

  3. Later in 2027

    New modules

A tinnitus module, an offering for mild hearing loss and deeper integrations with existing practice software.

  4. Beyond

    Europe

From the Netherlands and Belgium to the rest of Europe.

Team

Built from the practice floor.
